Bill Warren

Bill is our group's manager and is married to the lovely Angie, the group's soprano singer.  They have one son, Dillon Warren also a part of the group and make their home in Hudson, NC.  Bill has been playing & singing since the age of 11 and plays acoustic/electric guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin & drums as well as singing lead & harmony vocal parts.  His greatest enjoyment is serving the Lord by using the talent God has given him.  He says, "Nothing brings me more happiness than to see a soul saved or a weary pilgrim uplifted through the music ministry!"  He also serves as a deacon minister for Covenant Baptist Church in Granite Falls, NC.  During the day, Bill & Angie own & operate a jewelry store in Hudson, NC known as "The Gold Mine Fine Jewelry & Gifts" website:  www.hudsongoldmine.com   Bill has been active in the jewelry industry for over 20 years.  With a heart for the ministry, Bill loves to share his testimony of how the Lord brought him through living the road life of a country music musician and setting him on the "straight & narrow".  He loves humorous stories and often interweaves them in the group's presentations.

Angie Warren

Angie has hardly ever known a time she didn't sing as she came up singing in her family's gospel group starting at the age of 3!  Angie possesses a meek and humble spirit along with a big dose of zany humor....she always keeps us laughing!  A dedicated christian wife & mother, her sweet spirit compliments her powerful & high soprano vocals.  In her spare time, she loves to watch movies, paint, decorate and most importantly....SHOP!!!   By day, she & Bill operate a jewelry store and she is the chief decorator & office manager for their business.  Angie loves the Lord and it shows in everything she says and does!  She loves the color pink and would paint everything that way if Bill would let her!!

Dillon Warren

Dillon is the son of Bill & Angie Warren and thank God he got his looks from his mother!  A dear friend of the band, Tommy Simmons, nicknamed Dillon, "Lil' Elvis" because of his slight smile & snarl and love of upbeat music.  Playing drums since the age of 6, Dillon has performed with the Heritage Christian School Band as well as New Journey.  Recently, he stepped into the fulltime drummer's slot for New Journey and is doing a wonderful job.  Dillon was saved at the age of 6 and is the apple of his mom & dad's eye.  When asked if he enjoyed being an only child and if he wanted a little brother or sister, his reply was that he didn't want anyone messing with the deal he's got!  "Lil' Elvis is really playing the drums very well and besides that, enjoys computers, video games and going to the movies!

Rita Stinnett

The lovely Rita is a native of Lenoir, NC and is married to the group's sound technician Phillip Stinnett.  Rita has an absolutely precious personality, full of love and joy for Jesus Christ, her Lord & Savior!  She sings the alto part for the group as well as sharing her humble testimony of what a loving God can do.  Rita loves to cook and in her spare time likes to hike, walk and travel.  Bill, the group's manager often praises Rita for being such a dedicated member and christian who is always willing to share a smile and song and always doing whatever is needed done...Rita, you're quite a gal!  Rita's husband Phillip (not pictured) is also a very hard worker in our ministry.  He gets us where we're going, sets up the sound and does many other often overlooked jobs in a traveling music ministry.  Thanks Phillip for all you do for the New Journey Quartet!

Jay Ayers

Jay Ayers, also affectionately known as Mr. Tuiti-Fruiti (ask one of the band members, they'll explain the name) is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist just ripping at the seams in his love for singing and ministering for the Lord!  Jay is also a talented song writer who has contributed to the bands song selections.  Performing rock, country & beach music for many years, Jay thanks the Lord for bringing him through the wilderness to the promised land of country gospel music ministry.  Jay, a brilliant musician, plays keyboards, guitar, harmonica, and anything else you put in his hands!  A soft spoken man, he is always willing to share his testimony and help someone come to a closer walk with the Lord!  He makes his home in Dudley Shoals, NC and attends Dudley Shoals Baptist Church.  Jay recently married  Judy Mitchell, our drummer's sister and both are enjoying newly wed bliss!

Bob Woods

Bob and his lovely wife, Kristina make their home in Morganton, NC.  He started playing late in life in his 30's and has become quite a talented musician who plays guitar, dobro and steel guitar.  Bob often does session work for local groups.  During the day, he makes his living servicing and repairing air conditioning/heater systems.  Possessed of a dry humour and quick wit...Bob is one funny dude!  Bob & Kristina attend Covenant Baptist Church of Granite Falls, NC along with many of the other group's members.

Mike Shew

Mike was New Journey's drummer for many years and did a wonderful job in that role until the band came in need of a bass player.  He graciously stepped in the bass player position and excels on that instrument as well.  He and his wife Kim make their home in Lenoir, NC and attend Refuge Baptist Church in Hudson, NC.  He is a veteran musician and a talented multi-instrumentalist.  When Mike is in concert and the spirit moves, you better look out!!  He might take off shouting and running the aisles as he simply can't stay still!  We're glad he does and love his soft spoken manner and powerful testimony.  Thanks Mike for being such a good friend to all!
